The secret to a created life

When you want to answer the questions "who am I?" and "who can I be", it helps to know what's already there stopping you, limiting you and taking you off course.  Once you know that, the rest gets a lot easier.

My story

I failed.  Repeatedly.

Here's my reality.  I had a crap childhood, and grew up around unregulated people who had no idea what self help, reactivity, ADHD or emotional intelligence were.  My "learning" was from people who had no self control, and thought violence, restriction and dominance were what created compliant children.

The only person who was calm never explained what was going on so while I enjoyed being with my dad, I didn't actually learn how to do things right either.

This isn't a victim statement, it was my reality.

Yup, they were unhelpful, even hurtful, but my brain didn't know the difference and stored every experience as "this is how you deal with life".  My ADHD got worse.  My own unhelpful protective patterns reenforced through trying to validate my unhelpful, unhealthy patterns that were also being reenforced by the people who were supposed to be helping me.

Two Marriages, kids who called me things you should never repeat to your grandmother, and business after business failed. Oh, I and I got fat too. 135Kg (300 lbs) for someone whose nickname was "beanpole" growing up wasn't becoming.When I started training apprentices in 2016 I started noticing patterns in their behaviour that either helped them succeed, or created more obstacles.  I started documenting these factors, teaching them to my students, other trainers and managers, and then started writing books about what I was uncovering.  

If you understand ADHD, you'll know how brutally mind numbingingly painful it is to sit still long enough to write an essay, let alone a whole book, edit it and learn the resources to publish it!  

10 books later I've honed what I started into a framework that helps me thrive every day, and helps my clients, whether individuals or teams, understand themselves to such a degree they can almost wipe the slate clean of unhelpful patterns and create the patterns that encourage and support a healthy, helpful life.

I sucked at life for a long time.  Now, I choose it.  I still have old patterns rear their ugly heads from time to time when I find myself in a situation I haven't been in for years.  But now, I recognise it, understand it and deal with it quickly.

My ADHD isn't gone, but the downsides of reactionary behaviour and lack of focus are mostly gone.  The pattern recognition, hyperfocus and the fun part of me, the calm part of me, thrives.

I have an amazing relationship with my kids now.  Mostly because I changed how I look at everything, and they see it, and model it more themselves.

My goal is to help the people who want a new start, with a fresh perspective, with real, actionable methods.  I want to help these people, you, be the change, and change who you're being with less stress, effort and fluff.

You're not broken.  Neither was I.  We were just untrained.
So here's what you want to know:  What makes me qualified to do this work, and get the results I get?

1: I suffered from the same ADHD, anxiety, spiralling, rollercoaster-in-every-life-area life that many of my clients do.
2: I overcame them using the tools I teach, write about and use in client sessions.
3: I have multiple certifications in massage, kinesiology, life coaching and hypnosis
4: I spent too many years not knowing what I know today and want to help as many people as possible experience the life they want before it's too late.
5: I care.  Really. No-one is broken,  Everyone has a reason they have become who they are.  Everyone who wants to change and knows there is a different version of themselves can achieve it.  Everyone.  And if I can help, then yay us!
